3rd Annual LA Cookie Con and Sweets Show Returns February 18-19
The West Coast's Largest Baking Convention takes place at the LA Convention Center

After selling out two years in a row, the LA Cookie Con and Sweets Show is returning for its third year. The West Coast's largest baking and pastry expo will take place February 18 & 19, 2017 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Due to increased demand, the show is quadrupling its space over last year's event to make room for even more attendees and vendors. With over 50,000 guests expected throughout the weekend, sweets enthusiasts can enjoy free samples from over 275 local shops and national brands, meet their favorite foodie TV stars, watch baking demonstrations, and participate in hands-on workshops.

The LA Cookie Con and Sweets Show will be complete with five stages and classrooms for workshops focusing on Traditional Baking, Vegan/Gluten-Free/Paleo Baking, Cake Decorating, Cookie Decorating, and the Celebrity Guests stage. Attendees can also admire the incredible cake displays as part of the Decorator’s Showcase competition. 100% of the proceeds from the Decorator’s Showcase entry fees will benefit the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Los Angeles.

Fun for the whole family: the Kids Zone will offer free face painting, cookie decorating, crafts, games and more.

Special Guests:
This year’s celebrity lineup includes Saturday’s headliners Duff Goldman of Food Network fame and Elise Strachan, Founder of My Cupcake Addiction, who has amassed over 10 million followers worldwide. Elise’s channel is in the top 1% of food channels on YouTube, placing Elise’s online baking community in the top 3 food channels around the world.

We also have Burt Ward (Robin) from the Classic Batman TV Series and the 1966 Batmobile displayed in our hall.

Sunday's headliner is Rosanna Pansino, New York Times best-selling author and creator of the show 'Nerdy Nummies', which airs on her YouTube channel Rosanna Pansino, garnering more than 7 million subscribers and 1 billion video views.

Review from Last Year
By: Elaine Yee
Last year, I took my 7 year old daughter and we loved it. We went on Saturday, but we wished we could have attended LA Cookie Con on both days. When we attended we had the wonderful opportunity of taking pictures with
Duff and Sarah Michelle Geller! The LA Cookie Con schedule is different on both days since the celebrity guests and demos vary. Either day you'll have plenty to do and celebrity guests to take pictures with.

The convention has tons of samples and tons of vendors. We bought so much from the vendors so we feel that the VIP pass is so worth it. With the pass we had access to different VIP areas. These areas had full sized samples for us to try all day long. There's even a massage area for you! Talk about pampering the VIP guest! As an additional bonus, the VIP are boast of some savory samples - a little something to go against the constant sweets you're devouring. The kid's zone has free cupcake or cookie decorating, face painting, crafts, sensory play and so much more.

Did I mention that they sample are free? Go early because the lines to get in are insane (Another reason why the VIP Pass is so worth it).  A lot of these vendors have special event pricing, especially on the last day (deals to sell stuff prior to end of convention).

Where: Los Angeles Convention Center – 1201 S. Figueroa St.

When: February 18 & 19 (10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days) VIP ticket holders get early entry at 9 a.m.

Cost: $25/adult and $12/child for a one-day pass OR $45/adult and $22/child for a 2-day pass. To purchase tickets click here

VIP Passes also available for purchase, which allows early entry (before general admission), an official tote bag and access to 2 VIP Rooms with an exclusive selection of bites, sips, spirits and more.
