Want to spend an exhilarating afternoon and evening with your family? Then head to Angel Stadium of Anaheim to watch Monster Jam. We had pleasure of attending Monster Jam this past Saturday! The show is incredibly popular, so arrive early if you want to avoid the crowds and get good parking.
Once the event starts, it’s non-stop thrills. The trucks are very loud, so I recommend hearing protection for the entire family. (Although if you forget yours, you can purchase them at the stadium.) The monster trucks jump incredibly high and amazingly enough some of the drivers are so skilled that they can make their 10,000 lbs monster truck do a BACKFLIP. That was the first time either of us had seen it and our jaws were dropping. Whenever a backflip attempt was coming, the people around us would be on their feet, excited to witness the crazy attempt. In addition, the audience can take part in scoring the trucks’ performance using their cell phones. Our audience score gets added to the judges’ scores for American Idol-style audience participation.
If you purchase the optional Pit Party tickets (happening before the main event), you and your family can meet the drivers and see the trucks up close. Watching them from the stadium seats is one thing, but getting up close allows you to see just how big these trucks are. While you wait in line for autographs/pictures you can see some motorcycle stunts. For an additional fee you can ride on a monster truck! Only two more Saturdays of Monster Jam are left in February. We highly recommend it!

Plus, the first-ever female driver “Queen of Carnage” Madusa will be making her final Anaheim appearance ever at the Feb. 11th Pit Party event as part of her Monster Jam Farewell Tour.
