Circus Vargas: Steam Cirque was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon with my family. The show is fun and entertaining for all ages. I had my reservations about attending the circus because I assumed it wouldnāt meet my expectations. However, my assumptions were proven wrong by Circus Vargas: Steam Cirque.
The circus tent itself isnāt huge, which allowed us to really enjoy the show up close (virtually every seat is close to the stage). There are several sections at different prices, so whether you are on a budget or prefer 1st row seats thereās a sweet spot for you. Due to the setup of the āhigh top,ā some seats do have obstructed views, so be sure to get there early to pick your seats as they offer open seating in each section.
The show itself is filled with several aerial performances, which are a wonderful display of human strength and a treat to watch for both adults and young children. Our 4-year-old really enjoyed the motorcycles in the dome--a chilling stunt indeed! Our 1.5-year-old enjoyed the music. I loved that the show has a lot of variety, from comedy and magic to stunts and death defying acts. My favorite performance was the arrow through an apple on top of the performerās head.
TIPS:
Arrive 45 minutes early to enjoy the pre-show - the kids will love learning some circus skills.
Bring cash to enjoy some of their snacks and souvenirs as well as face painting.
There are 2 acts with a 15 min intermission. Use the intermission for a potty and snack break for the little ones.
Hang out after the show because all the performers were available for free pictures that make a great souvenir.
The inside of the tent can get a little warm so dress down and enjoy a nice cold glass of your favorite fountain drink.
