Neighborhood Displays Outside of Lakewood, Cerritos, & Cypress
Upper Hastings Ranch, Pasadena
Official light up starts on December 9th, and runs through December. Upper Hastings Ranch is located above Sierra Madre Blvd, in North East Pasadena.
When in the area: Check out Christmas Tree Lane, in Altadena. It is much smaller, but has a wonderful spirit of its own, and is a great place to drive through!
Candy Cane Lane in El Segundo
An impressive display of neighborhood lights with a Santa at the end, so it is worth walking the whole thing. Located just South of LAX. You will need park and walk, so bundle up, and bring something warm to drink. The homeowners would like to remind you to use the restroom before you come into the neighborhood, as there arenât any provided inside.
Sleepy Hollow in Torrance
With most houses (some say 97%) decorating in this neighborhood, this is a very popular place to visit to see lots of beautiful lights. Prepare for a crowd by coming early, or parking outside the neighborhood and walking in. If you do decide to drive through, you will be able to cover more of this large neighborhood, but you might not be able to stop easily to listen to the music or purchase some hot chocolate or churros sold by local kids. Either way, it is a wonderfully Christmassy experience. There are several ways to enter this neighborhood, and all will lead to plenty of lights. You will then snake your way through, and exit through any of the exits.
Fountain Valley Christmas House
If you are in the area, be sure to swing by the Christmas House, a neighborhood landmark in Fountain Valley. It is said to be decorated with 56,000 Christmas lights! Located at Stanislaus St & Apache River Ave, Fountain Valley, CA 92708
