Local tree lighting events that are fun for the whole family. Most are free. Listed in chronological order.

Lakewood Tree Lighting
Civic Center Way, Lakewood
November 30 | 4:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Lakewood will host the annual community tree lighting event, with "snow flurries" accompanying the dramatic lighting of the 24-foot-tall tree in the Civic Center Plaza.

City of Carson Tree Lighting
801 E Carson St, Carson
Friday, December 1 | 5 pm
This special event features carolers, light refreshments, and a visit from Santa himself.

Bellflower Tree Lighting Ceremony
Friendship Square in Downtown Bellflower
Friday, December 1st | 6:30 p.m
Welcome the holiday spirit at the City of Bellflower’s Christmas Tree Lighting at Friendship Square in Downtown Bellflower. Bellflower City staff, residents, and neighboring communities come together for a festive event filled with music, ice skating, and warm drinks.

Holiday Sing & Tree Lighting
Civic Center Green, 5275 Orange Ave., Cypress
December 5 | 6 p.m.
This event features Santa, crafts, train rides, a holiday sing, and more.

La Palma Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony
Central Park Amphitheater, 7821 Walker Street, La Palma
December 6th | Crafts & visits with Santa: 4:00 - 5:30 p.m., Ceremony: 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Enjoy the musical talents from our local schools and join in during the Community Carol Sing-Along. Take a picture with Santa and his elves in the activities area before the event. This area will feature crafts, an opportunity to write a letter to Santa, and of course, the young and young-at-heart won’t want to miss an early visit from Santa Claus!

December Nights: Tree Lighting
SeaCoast Grace Church, 5100 Cerritos Ave. Cypress
Thursday, December 7 | 6 pm - 8 pm
Join the SCG Worship Team in singing some Christmas carols as the Christmas Village & two story tree come to life before your eyes. Other activities include a petting zoo, Christmas train, Christmas houses and mini village, and fun crafts for the kids.

Nightly Tree Lighting at the Chill at the Queen Mary
1126 Queens Highway, Long Beach
The Chill at the Queen Mary is all new this year. As part of their new offerings, they will be hosting a nightly tree lighting ceremony, from December 13- January 7.
