REVIEW: This book series is starting to become a favorite in our household. We love Sam Wu, he's like part of the family now. We read this book to my 6.5 year old throughout several nights. It's a chapter book, so reading it to a very young child can be challenging, but my son really liked it. We read a couple of chapters a night and my son would ask for us to read it. He wanted to know what happened to Sam. He was very concerned for him. Sam tries to navigate the life of a kid with fears and still try to show his friends that he is a tough kid. We really felt for Sam. My son was able to explain that he too felt like Sam sometimes. What did Sam do? In very "Sam Style" he tries different things, which made my son think and laugh. As a mom, I enjoy a good story, and this book fits the bill. It also comes with a sneak preview of Sam Wu is NOT Afraid of the DARK. (3 preview chapters included).

ABOUT THE AUTHOR(S)
Katie and Kevin Tsang are Americans who met while studying at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Some of Sam Wu's experiences are based on Kevin's childhood. He works as a healthcare technology consultant. Katie writes YA as Katherine Webber. They currently live in London and the books in the Sam Wu series are their first together.
