2017 Summer Movie Guide

Watching kid-friendly movies at an air-conditioned theatre could be just the perfect thing to do on a hot summer day. Many of our local theatres offer summer movies at a discounted price during the weekdays. Check out the list below for some summer movie fun.

  • Krikorian Premiere Theatres in Buena Park and Downey are offering the 2017 Krikorian Kid Series from now until August 8th. Movies are showing at 10 am and 12:30 pm every Tuesday for $1 per movie. The Krikorian Metroplex 18 in Buena Park will be offering FREE admission to these movies all summer long - first come first serve. To get more information on the free movies click here.   • Regal Cinemas/Edwards in Cerritos and Long Beach are participating in the Regal Summer Movie Express-- this means $1 movies all summer long. Each week the same movie plays at 10 am on Tuesday or Wednesday. Visit the Regal website for the featured summer movie list.   

  • Harkins Cerritos 16 is offering a summer movie series as well: 10 movies, for 10 weeks at only $5 per pass! That’s 50¢ a movie if you watch all 10. All the movies begin at 9:45 am and the same movie plays all week from June 12th to August 18th. Click here for details.  

  • Starlight Cinemas in Anaheim is not only offering their 2017 Summer Movie Series for $1.00 per movie but also offering $1.00 popcorn and $1.00 soda. The same movie plays on Tuesday and Wednesday at 9:45 am. Reserved seating is an option at this theatre. Click here for more information and for a list of featured movies.

  • Cinépolis Pico Rivera will be screening kid movies every Tuesday and Thursday at 10 am for $5 a movie (movies will show in their standard auditorium).

      • June 13 and 15: The Wizard of Oz

      • June 20 and 22: Happy Feet

      • June 27 and 29: The Iron Giant

      • July 4 and 6: Storks

      • July 11 and 13: Where the Wild Things Are

      • July 18 and 20: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

      • July 25 and 27: The Lego Movie

      • Aug 1 and 3: Dolphin Tale
